I thought by hardware you meant the actual server's firewall, not the router. Didnt know what you meant.

Not by default, but if you're running a server it SHOULD be running some type of secure firewall.

I never said otherwise, or dispute that. Reading this thread would indicate I advocate the use of a firewall.

clam down guys! ha ha, didnt figure on this starting a big problem! anyhow, i figured it out, ha ha! i got a new router and the port forwarding was different on it, so i did it incorrectly, which i realized when i tried to run a ventrilo server and it didnt work! so i did it correctly and its all fine! i think you guys had a big misunderstandin there, and i think spartan knows a heck of alot more than the basics, thanks man! and all of you angry people, go take out that anger on the servers your making! i recommend no crits, because crits just piss people off more! Toungue
