Hi, i set up my server and it worked perfectly but my dad doesn't want to have me running it unless i can prove that his buisness is secure. So i though i might ask here.
The question is: Is it secure to run a dedicated server without risk for hackers to go into my network?

Use a proper firewall and you will be fine.

You are opening an incoming port.
Personally I wouldn't find it as a security risk.
However check with your dad on some stuff. His business might NOT allow incoming connections on his personal IP. In that case opening the port could get your dad fired, which is BAD.
