Couldn't allocate any server IP port
#1
I am getthing this error whenever I try to connect to my server (ran on the same machine I am playing the game from), in Team Fortress 2.

Engine Error - Couldn't allocate any server IP port.

This causes TF2 to crash, though my server still runs. I have used SRCDS, the Steam Tool, and even running a temporary server from inside of the game. No matter what, whenever I try to connect, I get that error message. I can connect to any other server just fine, but when trying to connect to my own pc, then it's a problem.

Any other game (CS:S, HL2DM, etc) work just fine. If anyone has any thoughts or anything, I would love to hear them Big Grin

Yeah mine doesn't crash but it does say "disconnected after 4 tries". Are you running the server on the same computer you are trying to connect to your server with? I tried on mine and it wouldn't work no matter what....I couldn't play any server as long as my server was running on my pc.

What others have done, though, is to make sure you are connecting to your server with you LAN IP and not your WAN IP.

Hope that helps.

Scott.

Edit: I have a couple threads up on this issue so if you look there in and out you might find some answers there even if noone posts here.
