OK my specs are 2 gigs of ram, AMD 64X2 4600+, 250 gig hard drive, and my internet speed is 20/5. Its cable, but it still is fast. Now after running my server for a day, people started complaining about choke and lag. I was getting 2043 download and 4504 upload. So what should i do? Also even when the server has 4 people on it, my internet connection on other computers is noticably slower. Any help would be appreciated.

You might want to take a look into your rates and see if there can be done something there.

First check your rates like Doggie said. I do remember hearing though back in the day that some cable providers like to put a bottleneck on their connection. Like if you download a small file, or do a speed test it will be just as fast as ever. But when you start trying to do something like run a game server and cranking out all that bandwidth the network will kinda just cut down your connection. I don't really know of a better way to put it, but yea, that just may be the case.
