Hello,
I have tried installing srcds, but am not having a lot of luck. I run the update tool, and left it downloading all night. This morning I have a folder full of files and what appears to be a srcds executable. I just can't get the thing to run.
If I double click on the .exe, it just blinks and nothing appears to happen. I tried using the srcds.bat from your tutorials and also the autoupdate+fpsspeedboost.bat from this forum.
These both launch the Dos window, update, but then crash. There are 2 open Dos windows, the first displays this.
The second displays this
But a windows error box appears
I must be doing something very wrong, any ideas? Just wanted to run the srcds on this old windows ME pc, so that the boy and I can have a LAN game when our internet connection is rubbish (most of the time in the evenings )
Thanks in advance.
