SRCDS Steam group

Server listings not working.
#1
Ok i got my router all configed right so others can join.
But i want it to show in the steam server listings so my clans server gets more hits.
I thought it was just the lack of people playing in it.
But i got all my clan members to join one day and it still didnt show up in the server listings.
Heres the ports i added Screen Shot could someone please tell me what i forgot to add.

Thanks,
Trauma

I'm a total n00b at this but have you tried adding the line ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to your server.cfg file?
it helped me...

open ports 27000 to 27039 inclusive on both tcp and udp and you should have no problems.

edit - oh and i think 27500 is for server query or that just might be our setup for hlstats - cant quiet remember

Ladybulf those ports are not wanting to stay when i add them also JetarR how did you add your server ip to your server cfg file?
Example
// Exec files on startup...these are placed in the "CFG" folder.
exec iphere
^Is that how you added it or is there a different code thanks for helping out.

Ok still confused on how to add it in the server.cfg file because when you add stuff in that it goes like this.
// Give your server a name here
hostname "[|>TTC<|] The Tired Clan"
^Do i do it that way when i add srcds.exe +ip <wan_ip> example
// Give your server ip here
hostname "srcds.exe +ip <wan_ip>"

srcds.exe +ip <wan_ip>

is a command line which you put in the shortcut.
To put it straight into the confif file put

ip <wan_ip>
port 27015
hostname "clan server"

sorry but I haven't worked with srcds in windows much.

anyways, if you can answer the following, I may be able to help.
  1. your server is hosted at your house?
  2. what kind of router are you using (home vs. commercial)?
  3. Where are you playing from (are you playing on the same local network that the server is on?
  4. where are you looking for your server to show up at?

I dont use hldsupdatetool i just host right from Source Dedicated Server.
As for inc0gs i use a Belkin DSL Gateway Router 4port I have all the assigned ports for hosting a css server.
My friends can connect find but we dont get much traffic because steams list isnt reconizing my server.
Im playing from my home off the same network its hosted on the East Coast.
Im looking in all the servers for my server to show up so i have no clue what is going on lol.

Ok, if you're playing on the same local network as the server, you won't see the server show up in the internet list.

if your friends that are outside of your local network don't see your server in the internet listing, then maybe you have your sv_region improperly set. here are the possible values for sv_region:

0=US East coast, 1=US West coast, 2= South America, 3=Europe, 4=Asia, 5=Australia, 6=Middle East, 7=Africa, and 255=world.

My regions are find man steam just isnt reconizing my server people can add it to there faveorites find. But if the load up a new list in there server list it wont be there. I hate it to because we have to promote it the hard way lol.

Heres what i have my regions like what they look like.
// contact & geo 0=US East coast, 1=US West coast, 2= South America, 3=Europe, 4=Asia, 5=Australia, 6=Middle East, 7=Africa and 255=world.
// Change the number to the region you live in!!!
sv_region 0
