It's possibly to do with the installation batch file not having permission to copy the fmmtimersvc.exe into system32 - I know on vista x64 I had to put it there manually then run the batch file as administrator.
I need to know some things from those on windows 2003 server web edition:
1. Is the service listed and started in the services mmc (control panel->admin tools->services->"Fast Multimedia Timer")?
2. Does the file fmmtimersvc.exe exist in the system32 folder?
3. When do you get an error message and what is it?

Well im Using Webedition on one box and the 2003 Standart Edition x64 on my other dedi.
Well i hope u know that the 2003 Server x64 is not working correctly.
My standart windows 2003 R2 is working fine with an Athlon64 X2 4200+ with 2 GBs of RAM.
If u can downgrade ur from the x64 to the normal do so.
Havent tried it on my WebEdition but ill do so later.
Started the Service on the Standart R2 and it worked.

I installed this on my HL2DM server three days ago and it works just fine with windows xp. However, I can't see where it performs better than srdsfpsboost, but it definitely is just as good!

trepje, FPS does increase in SCRDS, however running the clockres command line tool from sysinternals that basically barfs the system clock interval, I did not have any change.
15.625 ms before, and after (even after spawning a new cmd window and running it)
Thoughts anyone?

I tried the service from the first post of this thread, and on my server 2008 r2 installation (athlon64 processor, old asus mobo from 2004 with none of the bios features needed for 1000fps, afaik) jumped from 512fps with srcdfpsboost to around 680. (it maxes out around 680 without srcdsfpsboost running now)
I also tried the link a few posts above but that one did not seem to do anything for me.

I know this fmmtimer, and i think its not your creation cause i use it since 2008...
My advise: Give credits to the maker!
Works great on windows 7 by the way....
