Help With Installing Dedicated Server
#1
I'm trying to install my own dedicated server, but I need some help to finish it off.

Server Info:
P 4 - 2.8
512 Ram
Windows XP Pro

I install all of the files into c:/srcds and ran the hl2updatetool. I already install mani mod and put in the command line (-console -game cstrike +map de_dust2 +maxplayers 16 -autoupdate) for srcds.exe located in c:/srcds

HELP!

For some reason, no one can not see the server name on the internet. I can see the server on my steam LAN but I can not join it. I add the port forward within the window firewall on port 27015 and 27011. I was going to try using that portforwarding program but I wanted to know if there is another way to fix this. Please message me back here or add me on xfire if some can help me out.

Thanks again to all

nope you need to forward ports else no one can get to it, you may try the dmz option if your router has it too.

OK, I think I figure that port forwarding on my 2wire router.

Can you please let me know if my command is set correctly. I will like to run multiple server in the future on my dedicated server.

Current cmd line:

c:\srcds\srcds.exe -applaunch 240 -heapsize 262144 -game cstrike -tickrate 100 +fps_max 600 -port 27015 -noipx +maxplayers 16 +map de_dust2 -autoupdate

thanks again for your help
