Server not starting

I have gotten a webhosting which has shell support (so I can send commands over through CMD.exe)

I have been able to upload all the files through hlupdate's command lines but I cant seem to be able to start the server :|
I get this when starting it:

But it doesnt say the server has started and I have no way to "look" on that particular pc since Ive only got a shell account.

Chances are your hosting provider might be blocking the ports so people don't run it, use the ip and check to see if its running on either hlsw, or gametiger, maybe even game-monitor

wouldnt I get a message saying something like server started on ip:port ? or some kind of error cuz i get nothin at all.

I don't know, I don't run windows servers, only linux and FreeBSD.
But im quite sure that, judging by your hosts DNS (clarkson.edu) the needed ports are not opened to run a srcds server. Odd to see an edu host running a windows server. First one i've seen really

Yeah its a uni server for us students We had enough people to make get them to give us a server for it, the problem was that direct wasnt installed and they are suppose to do it sooner or later... Ah well Ill have to wait a bit thx for the help tho.

You wont get any output since the dos command line opens Source DS another instance.

what do i have to do if i want to start my own server so other people can join the server?
I can start the server, but it's not visible in the server list..
