So this started from a conversation I had with a couple of coursemates last semester and I figured it was worth throwing out here to get more opinions. One of my friends was absolutely insistent on finding someone local — like physically near him — to help with his assignments. His reasoning was that a local writer would understand the university's style, the marking criteria, the whole culture of it. Honestly at the time I thought he had a point.
But here's where it gets interesting. I went the opposite route.
