Curious About Snapchat Planets – How Do They Work?
#1
Hi everyone,

I recently came across Snapchat Planets and I’m a bit confused about how they actually function. From what I understand, they’re communities based on shared interests, but I’m not sure how posts, interactions, or content visibility work.

Can anyone explain how to join a Planet, what the rules are for posting, and how engagement is measured? Are some Planets public while others are private? Also, does joining multiple Planets affect what shows up on your main Snapchat feed?

Any tips or insights would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Hi! I can help clarify how Snapchat Planets work.

Snapchat Planets are community spaces centered around shared interests. To join one, you usually tap on the Planet icon or get an invite link. Some Planets are public, meaning anyone can join and view content, while others are private and require approval from moderators. If you want a deeper dive, you can read on Snapchat Planets blog for tips and detailed guides.

Posting rules are set by each Planet, but generally, you can post text, images, or short videos related to the topic. Engagement is measured through likes, comments, and reactions, similar to other social media platforms.

Joining multiple Planets doesn’t directly clutter your main feed; you mainly see Planet content when you visit them, though Snapchat may occasionally surface popular posts from your Planets in your feed.

Tip: Participate actively in discussions as it helps you get noticed and connect with like-minded people.
