I’ve been exploring edge AI solutions and came across the Geniatech AI Box series (https://www.geniatech.com/products/ai-box/). The models that caught my attention are the APC3588 and the APC680. From what I’ve seen, they’re built for demanding real-time applications, offering high TOPS performance and multiple connectivity options. They seem ideal for smart city setups, industrial automation, and video analytics, especially with their built-in NPUs and options for additional accelerators like Hailo-8. On paper, they check a lot of boxes for flexibility and performance.
Before moving forward, I wanted to hear from anyone who has worked with these devices. How is the real-world performance when handling tasks like object detection, facial recognition, or anomaly detection? I’m curious how they manage thermal performance during continuous operation. Also, are there any issues with compatibility when deploying custom models or integrating with third-party tools and platforms?
