Question Regarding Urine Test and THC Detection in Medical Exam
#1
Hello,

I’m preparing for the CAF medical assessment, and I have a question about the urine test. Specifically, does the urine test check for THC from prior cannabis use, and would a positive result affect my eligibility or progress in the recruitment process? I’m aware that cannabis is legal in Canada, but I’d like to clarify how this might factor into the medical evaluation.

Thank you in advance for any insights.

When it comes to urine tests and THC, it depends on a few things, like how much you’ve used and your body’s metabolism. THC can stay in your system for quite a while—anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on whether you’re a regular user or not. If you’re using a thca carts, that’s a bit of a different story too. THCA is the non-psychoactive version, but once it gets heated, it turns into THC, which is what the test will pick up. Honestly, if you’re worried about the test, the safest bet is to stop using well before the exam, or at least give it a couple of weeks for your body to clear things out.
