Intel Pentium D Dual-core 2.66Ghz, 533MHz FSB, 2x1MB L2 Cache
1GB DDR RAM
80GB SATA HDD
1000GB Transfer
10Mbps Uplink
with these specs, do you think i could run 4x16 66 or 33 tick servers with the transfer and cpu in mind?

Actually thats not true. Im sorry exaxxion but did you factor in rates? Rates have alot to do with how many players youll be able to run. What tickrate youll be able to run. Theres alot of variables you didnt consider. You should post what rates your going to want to run and then you can determine how many and wat tickrate youll be able to run. you also going to want more ram if u wanna run 4 x 16 slots. 1gb would suffice for like 2 18 player servers, if rates are configured properly. SRCDS on windows can hog a lot of resources. Things running in the background also play a HUGE role.

I have 8 years of experience in game hosting. I think I know what I'm talking about thank you lol. He has 10Mbps uplink and 4 x 16 is only 64 slots. Even if they are all full, he won't be using all 10Mbps at once. actually 1 GB is fine for 4 servers with 64 slots. a little bit pushing the limit but if he's not running any other applications and turned off all unnecessary services, it's possible.
if you want to argue with me, get an exact same system as he specified above and run 4 x 16 slot servers at 33 tickrate.

I am going to use linux
Plan on using a rate max limit of around 7500
If i can run 60-70 slots I'd be really happy
I am mostly worried about how much transfer I would be using
also, what linux distro you recommend? I was probably gonna go for centos since it is the most popular one but I can also choose Debian or Fedora 3
Also, is it worth the extra $10 a month to get an extra 512mb ram?

Ok well then I HIGHLY doubt your 8 years gaming experience. I will argue with you because I have a FASTER system and cant run that many slots. 1GB 4x16 slots, that is never going to run. Come on dude you dont have to lie to kick it, you know, i know, that you dont have no 8 years experience. Why didn't you keep your old name anyway. Was it cuz everyone was ragging on you? Im sorry i had to say all this but come on dude. If you prove if your right and I'm wrong then I will apologize.
@troy
If its only 10 dollars to get an extra 512, most definetly go for it. Alot of people here will recommend using slackware. I like ubuntu. I like alot of distros actually.

There is no way you will use 1000GB transfer in a month. In other words thats a terabyte. You are positive that you have a 10mbps uplink?

base price for server: $90
added 512mb ram: $100
is that a good price?

100 for the 512, or 10. You said 10 in an earlier post.

Well it doesn't seem like a bad price. But TBH I dont really know too much about renting servers, I would check into other game hosting services and see if their prices are better/worse.

I have to argue with you on this hexit: 1 gb of ram will definately do. Run a reboot script which restarts all gameservers at 5 in the morning and ram usage will be very low (def below 1 gb).
Also: Ex: go fuck yourself, dickhead. Do you think anybody is waiting for a 18 year old boy running a gameserver and calling himself the god of gamehosting ! Do or did you ever runned the - as you stated yourself - exact same setup yourself? I'm sure you didn't so STFU
