I have ben thinking about why it is so necessary to run srcds.exe in -console mode, or is it?. I have ben running srcds.exe without -console allso and it works perfectly, really nothing to complain. Even all of my mods is loading as i wanted too. I preffer to run it without because you can easlier kick or ban players, you can see the statistic for your connection in/out, fps, hardware status.. in -console mode you can only see how much fps your server is running at, that is not giving me enough of info =/
Can enybody answer me why i have to run in -console mode?

i believe running it in gui mode will consume more of your memory, than it would in console mode.

GUI = Graphical User Interface, the opposite of console mode.

As a server host i cannot automatically launch servers in GUI, it awaits user input which halts the process. Console mode just runs straight online, consumes less memory and CPU since it is not drawing fancy graphs.
If you like to see the graphs then GUI is for you, if not, -console.
