Ok...I finnaly figure out how to download the CS:C content using hldsupdatetool, but during the downloading process I get this error (Compression Failure, Winsock Error 0 "No error").
Is it just me...???? Please Help

I think this has to due with the clients and servers getting the Steam update that was just released.
Too much bandwidth being used. Once things settle down you should be fine, so try again.

I had the same problem as you and this fixed it. I did a search for the file clientregistry.blob and deleted it then ran the update again:
hldsupdatetool -command update -game whatever -dir yourdirectory -username yourusername -password yourpassword
then it worked perfectly for me.

I deleted client registry.blob and I still get the error.
Any ideas?
Mine also stopped at office.bsp

that's what i've been getting all day--exactly at the same place: office.bsp
didn't work to try a different install folder.
did work to download/install onto a different comp and ftp in my "good" cs_office.bsp file

The next hang is cstrike\sound\ambient\tones\steamloop1.wav Could someone post that sound clip so that we can get moving along again? Thanks

Going to try the client blob deletion once again.
