What must I do to know how much bandwith must I need to run a server?

And I'm trying to run DODS on debian. What do I need to run it? (Hardware).

and hardware depends on how many slots u want to run. But basically u need a fair bit of RAM eg 1 - 2 gigs and a fairly good procesor

also what tickrate ?
