SRCDS Steam group

Server not showing up on server browser.
I just bought a cheap vps to look at how gmod server hosting works. Here are the specs:
Ram: 1gb
CPU: 3.5ghz Intel E5, 3 cores
OS: Debian 7 32-bit
Start-up command: ./srcds_run -game garrysmod -ip {ip} -port 27015 -maxplayers 8 +map ttt_minecraft_b5 +gamemode terrortown -condebug +rcon_password {nope}

My issue is, even though I am able to connect to the server, view the status from other peoples profiles and save the server to my favourites, the server does not show up in the steam or garrysmod server list. I installed the server using steamcmd.
I have a similar problem. Fully clean css server is running on vds (newly installed debian 7 64-bit) and i can't find it on server browser. I asked for 6 people to find my server but only one was able to see it. Steam API says that all is ok.
Just started clean tf2 server - found immediately.

I've figured out what's causing this, and it doesn't seem I'm the only one which this happens to. The steam server browser will only display areas in your region. If you have a server that you just purchased with an IP transfered from a server outside your region no in your region will see it. The easiest way to fix it is to ask your host get you a new IP in your region.
Doing a lookup on your IP shows it as american.
