Server wont Start.

Hello Community,

Ive got an V-Server on Webtropia, where I want to host Counter Strike Sources Servers to play with Friends.
Now my problem is when I click on srcds.exe , nothing is happening its like I click on an empty srcds.exe where nothing is working.

Anyone got an Idea?

You have to make a shortcut to srcds.exe.

Make the shortcut, then add your parameters after it, for example if you had your server in C:\css then you could do:

C:\css\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike -maxplayers 30

Hi there, Xheberiotion!

First of all you'll probably need to make a "server.cfg" for your settings to your Counter-Strike Source server. You can make your "server.cfg" on this website:
www.cstrike-planet.com

When you have made that file, than navigate to your "cfg" folder and make document called "server.cfg". It's very important it has the ".cfg" after its name else it's not a configuration file and will not be used when you're starting the server. When you have made that file goto to your main folder where you have the "srcds.exe" and make a shortcut of the "srcds.exe". When you've made a shortcut right click on the shortcut and click "Properties" and then paste in this commandline: "-console -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 16 -autoupdate"
after the text there already stood in there. Then it'll look like this: "c:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 16 -autoupdate"
