if you have control over your domain settings, you could just forward the subdomain to the servers ip address. It all depends on how much control you have over your domain name...

I use no-ip.

http://www.no-ip.com/

Lets you use free domains and forwards it to your IP address, which from their your router can route.

like

connect iaclan.servebeer.com

will connect you to my server in console.

Tad bit eaiser to remember.

I use http://www.zoneedit.com to manage my domains.. its not free domains, but any domain you currently have contol over, you just point the name servers to zoneedits name servers, and then theres a web interface that you can make as many sub-domains as you want, and point them to any web address, or ip address. You can also do email forwarders and mx records as well.

You have to edit the "A-record" of your domain settings. If you have a DNS panel you can do this yourself, else ask your host or the company that registered your domain.

As far as I remember what I did, I created a subdomain (done3.donenetwork.net) and redirected that one to my gameserver.

You probably can't setup your own DNS settings. Contact your host or the company that registered your domain.

you dont need to put the port nr, in the adress. You do this when you add the server. EXAMPLE: done3.donenetwork.net:27015

also when you put in the ip address, you shouldn't put http:// thats inter hyper text trasnfer protocol, which would probly make it not connect to the game server.
