Hey All i am would like to know how to set up my dns settings so ppl could connect to my gameserver by going to server.domain.com so it would be easier to remember.
i am using cpanel for my webserver

if you have control over your domain settings, you could just forward the subdomain to the servers ip address. It all depends on how much control you have over your domain name...

You have to edit the "A-record" of your domain settings. If you have a DNS panel you can do this yourself, else ask your host or the company that registered your domain.

i have had a look at all my controlpanels ,cpanel and somecrap one that is basicly a support page ( live help etc ) if any one could point me in the right direction that would be great

As far as I remember what I did, I created a subdomain (done3.donenetwork.net) and redirected that one to my gameserver.

I used Cpanel and changed my DNS settings. But only on the sub domains

you dont need to put the port nr, in the adress. You do this when you add the server. EXAMPLE: done3.donenetwork.net:27015

also when you put in the ip address, you shouldn't put http:// thats inter hyper text trasnfer protocol, which would probly make it not connect to the game server.
