Well I sent this question to steam and they tell me to come post here because they "cannot provide in depth support for HLDS or SRCDS." I rent a server from Branzone with SourceTV on it. What I want to do is record all events and entities without any without any data loss or network delay. Apparantley only the SourceTV master can this. So, who is the SourceTV master? Where does this SourceTV demo get saved to? If I put tv_autorecord 1 in my server config will it record all entities and events? Please help me. :/

honestly.. i don't know jack about sourcetv never used it at all. I think neon knows a bit about it, if he gets on any time soon..

I find it rediculous that the guys at steam can't answer my question. If anyone should know the answers it should be them. So I guess I just have to pray for neon to come on the forum, or fiddle around with SourceTV until I answer my own question.

I dont know if there is anything thats named sourcetv master. But I do know that the demos are getting saved in the /cstrike/ folder... This might create some problems if you dont have access to this folder from your host. I do know that game2xs.com provides servers with ftp access to the server files

Yeah I read up some stuff there, but it left me confused. Like I don't know who the SourceTV master would be, because this "SourceTV master" is the only one that can record demos that capture all events and entities.

You rent a server form a GSP: ask him. I don't know the specific setup of his SourceTV servers....

sourcetv master is the 'tv bot' that runs on the server when everyone is playing, as opposed to a tv relay which picks up data from the master and passes it on to tv clients
