problems with rcon "bad password"

I have a tf2 server, when I try to open the function rcon the following message appears on the client console "bad password" but the password is correct.
I configured password in server.cfg but nothing happens.
HELP ME PLEASE!

i tried to do this
lets say my password is hello
type in
rcon_address 192.1****:27015
and then
rcon hello
Made me come abit further, tho my ports or something dont work, maybe it'll work for ya mate!

You have to make sure you're entering in the right rcon password. Here is a small checklist you should go through;

• Make sure your rcon password is set in quotes in your server.cfg for example; rcon_password "passwordhere"
• When accessing your rcon in-game you must be in the server and type the following in your console; rcon_password "passwordhere"
  

If those things don't work then you might have a plugin that is messing with it.
