Ok well, I run both a L4D2 and TF2 server on my linux vps, running Ubuntu 10.11
I m curious if it'll be possible to set a specific time for the servers to be shut down then restarted on a daily basis, but I'd like to also check to see if theres ppl on the server in the first place, if so, wait til they disconnect.
so heres an example:
I set the time to 4AM, checks to see if people are on the server when 4AM rolls around, if ppl are on the server, it waits till they all d/c to restart the server, otherwise if no ppl are on, it restarts it at 4am
I don't know if this is possible but a daily restart ensures the game server stay fresh and the ram never builds up. ;0
The only thing is the L4D2 server doesn't restart correctly like the TF2 one does, the L4D2 server has to be started manually even when the restart command is issued.
