Are these good Specifications?

Hi SRCDS Community,

I've been looking for a good dedicated server host for quite a while and I decided to go ahead and checkout LimeStoneNetworks (http://www.limestonenetworks.com/).

But my question is are these good specifications? And how many servers should I be able to host?

I also will be hosting One Mumble server for one of the IP's.



I plan on having 24 slots for each server and one 11 slot (For scrimming).

Note: I can buy more IP's too.

Since I have no idea, i'd suggest 2 per core (of the 24 slotters).

If you want I can suggest you companies I use (1 in USA East coast, 1 in Germany), price highly depends on location and also company itself. For instance I pay $100 for xeon quad core (3.3ghz or so) in USA, which will be like 3 times faster than this one.

Wow, way overpriced... for that price you should get 3 generations newer processor (second gen i5/i7), and DDR3 instead of DDR2, and you shouldnt have to buy your own OS for that price.

For $500 you could build a 16GB i5 quad core and ship it out for midtower colocation which would run you less.

Yeah I know it was an old CPU but Source is a pretty old game so I didn't expect much. And I didn't realize it costed to install your own OS I was just gonna install Windows with my own serial.

I'd suggest GamingDeluxe and UK2. Good support and they have servers for every range of prices. However, if you want to be a man, you've gotta pay, that's just how it works.

Source isn't an old game anymore... It has joined the resource hogging alliance that is Orangebox... Er whatever the hell the engine is now...

But beware, if you're going to be getting attacked ( Asshole Admins, Exclusive Gamemodes, or favored internet minorities ) then find a mitigated facility...
