New to dedicated.. Which admin mod should I use?

Hello all.. Just recently i decided to host a dedicated server myself.. i'm really fresh on this and still have a lot of questions to ask.. but firstly, which admin plugin or mod am is good nowadays.. i've seen ppl saying mani is not good anymore ever since they got hacked..

I recommend SourceMod, it's really versatile and you can code plugins for it.

i see.. that's what i was thinking too.. are there anything that i should look out for for hosting a server?

heard that it's not good to play in the server on the server pc.. is that true?? but i've seen many ppl are doing so on youtube.. can anyone confirm this? thanks

You can do it. Just not recommended as it can be undesirable to other players on the server.

i see.. im wondering if srcds is optimized for HT.. i'm planning on running multiple css servers on my machine, which i currently had HT off (to get rid of the stuttering issues on BF3).. if srcds supports multithreads then i just have to turn it back on..

SRCDS can't handle multiple cores. It can do Multithreading, but doesn't matter much.

Don't run SRCDS on your gaming computer. That's like putting your toilet in the kitchen... you don't do it.

SourceMod IS the mod for SRCDS. Don't touch Mani. ever. I used to be a huge BM fan, but I don't think it's supported much now. SM is the only real mod worth using.
