I might just aswell tell you, you use some kind of editor to edit the internal values of engine.dll (windows) and whoop-de-doop, unlocked fps. Not recommended. I some day hope valve can implement VAC-bans on modified server-engine files. Would make the world so much better.

My fucking face. 1000 fps is a waste of resources, and the worst part is that you do not even know it! The effect is placebo. If i had setup two servers, one with 1000 fps and one with locked fps to the tickrate and you couldn't use any client commands, you wouldn't notice the difference.

it should be equal to tickrate, not twice less. At least I think so... Those valve love to make changes without documenting em

do you use any other special settings (like RDTSC_FREQUENCY=disabled)? don't do that...
the server will not run with higher fps then 66.67 in any case, so use fps_max 0.

what kernel did you try, and what settings did you enable? you might want to have a look on the guide in my wiki (see my signature)
