rcon hlsw problem

I have recently changed my rcon port of my css server for security reasons. I mean the game server port and rcon port are not equal anymore.

But after this change, I can't login with my rcon at hlsw anymore, it just says "Failed" under the box.


I tried to edit the rcon.cfg of the hlsw and edited these lines:

['SendInterval'] = 0;
['bSecondPortRcon'] = true;
['bBanIP'] = true;
['bBanID'] = true;
['bBanTime'] = true;
['bBanSave'] = true;

['bUTF8'] = true;



I have edited the above red-colored lines from "false" to "true" , then went to hlsw, edited the port of the rcon at the second tab of the "properties" box option (located right below from "try all" box) and restarted HLSW.

I pressed the "Test" button but nothing happened, it just says "connecting" and after a while "Failed"

What to do on this point? How to fix this?

P.S: HLSW forums are too inactive to answer to that.

Well. This ain't a HLSW forum, and neither do I know if it'll work but give it a shot. Try to delete the file and re-install HLSW. Then you add the rcon port.

I have already posted the issue to their forum but it seems they are not answering without knowing why.

I will try to explain the issue as clear as possible again:

When my server had its port and its rcon port the same . I was able to login and set the rcon at hlsw without problems.
After my server got attacked by hackers , one of my security measurements was to change the port that the rcon password will listen to so as the game server port and the rcon port would not be the same.

For example, the in-game rcon login (not from hlsw but from css) it is like this:

BEFORE CHANGING RCON PORT:

rcon_password abcde
rcon sv_.......
e.t.c


AFTER CHANGING THE RCON PORT SO AS GAMESERVER PORT IS NOT EQUAL TO RCON PORT

rcon_address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:RCON_PORT
rcon_password abcde
rcon sv_.....
e.t.c

Both ways of rcon login were made without problems.

But in HLSW, when I managed to edit the rcon.cfg , and was able to change the rcon port , as you can see from the screenshot in my previous post, i was NOT ABLE to login with rcon with HLSW. I mean, when I was pressing the "Test" button, the output said "Connecting" and after a short while, "Failed".

So, what is going on here? Why it seems that HLSW does not recognize this port difference?

P.S. port 7130 is open to my router.

As i said. Un-install HLSW and change the rcon port inside the actual program.

I don't understand what you mean here , do you want to set the rcon port at the server properties?

But still, when I did that , the HLSW console said that it tried to connect to the server with the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:SERVERPORT not RCON port.
