GMOD SCRDS dedicated server

Hey guys how do you get people to download your custom files? I've tried resource.AddFile("File here") and resource.AddSingleFile("File here") and neither worked...I have no idea how to do it and there will be so many errors if it isnt working...

Also, i was wondering how you can make it so pepole hear a certain sound clip when they first join the server (embedded into the MOTD?)
