Episodic Content Issues
#1
Exclamation
Hello everyone. I have had a Garry's Mod Server for some time now, but I have been having some problems with the Episodic Content. I cannot spawn the Npcs or props from Episode one or Episode two. I've done some HLDS content updating to the games, but It has done nothing, and I do have the games as well as mounted. Some help would be greatly appreciated! I've been wrestling this problem for several months now without success.

What commands are you use to install garry's mod and the other content?

Also you need to move it into the same location at the garrysmod folder if I'm not mistaken to that will be inside the orangebox folder.

I am using "-command update -game "garrysmod" -dir C:\HLServer" to update G-mod with HLDS Update tool. I have also done "-command update -game "episode1" -dir C:\HLServer" which is the Episodic update node. From what I know, all the required Content is in the "Orangebox" folder. So I am really confused.

Are you sure the content is in the client installation too? Also, try a full re-install of the Garry's Mod server and use -verify_all to verify that all the files are correctly installed.

I will get back to you on that when I get the chance to do this. Thanks for the tips!

How you you enter the verify all command in the HLDS line? Other than that, I have done everything you said I should try, I re-installed the server twice, I verified the integrity of the game cache with Steam. I DO have the games mounted, I unmounted and remounted them. I have however been receiving a strange error when starting the server, it pops up twice:

"The procedure entry point ?Lock@CThreadFastMutex@@ACEXII@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library tier0_s.dll."

Your install options first and then you just type -verify_all at the very end. Also, try to run srcds as administrator, it's not recommended but just try it to rule out any other stuff.

Tried it, it added some script and resource files, but it didn't do anything In-game wise. The problem still remains.

Half-life 2: Episode One and Half-life 2: Episode Two.

Ok. I have absolutely no idea why it isn't working.. Could you try to get someone with the episode 1 & 2 content to go into your server and try to spawn something?
