Sad
Hi all,

I'm trying to get a css server online from my computer to play with few friends but can't get server online
I have a laptop and a pc
I'm trying to host the server on the laptop and play with my pc
Code:
System Model: Inspiron N7010
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 380  @ 2.53GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Graphic Card name: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5400 Series
Display Memory: 2289 MB
Dedicated Memory: 1015 MB
Shared Memory: 1274 MB

port are correctly fowarded
Code:
UDP 1200 (Friends Network)
UDP 27000 to 27015 (Gameport)
UDP 27020
TCP 27030 to 27039
TCP 27015 (SRCDS Rcon port)

and tried with or without dmz host

I have correctly entered the Ip Adresse 192.168.*.* for fowarding I found it with ipconfig

and with CanYouSeeMe.org - Open Port Check Tool

I get
Code:
Success: I can see your service on *.*.*.* on port (27015)
Your ISP is not blocking port 27015

and tried with PFPortChecker and ports are correctly fowarded...

also fpsmeter.org can see the server and connect to my server and measure the FPS of my game server...

but still can't connect from my wan ip or add server to favorite in steam

I have disabled all firewall tried windows xp & windows 7 & debian ...

I tried Port Triggering and I can see the server only few seconds when starting so I know that the server is working...

If anyone want to help me with teamviewer or something plz let me know I'll accept

please help Sad

Hi
Your WAN IP is also called external IP, thats the IP people need to use to connect from the internet to your gameserver. If you want to connect, you need to use the servers LAN IP. You need to put 192.168.*.* into your game to connect. Or you can maybe find it in the LAN-tab in server list ingame.
Have any of your friends tried connecting to your server, from their home network?
If you can send me a PM with your servers WAN IP, i will try to connect to it at sometime today, and see if there is something wrong. If there is something wrong, I will come back to you.

I know this , I have friends in steam they get server not responding and when I tell them to connect directly they get failed after 4 retries...and if there is no problem I can connect with my external ip I dont need the internal ip anymore in addition I can't add it to hlsw so there is a problem and server is not online ...this is not the first time I try to get an online working server I tried this in 2008 or 2009 with the same hardware and software the first time I thought it's a problem of windows 7 that is installed in my laptop then I tried to make it work like I did before in the past with my pc (win xp) ...but same problem Sad

On our server, we needed to disable Windows Firewall. But as we are running a Windows Server OS. it may/may not solve your problem. Try disabling Windows Firewall on your PC running the server, and see if that helps. We couldn't also not connect to our own server before we disabled Windows Firewall. But as I said, there might be a chance that it does not solve your problem, because sometimes there is a little difference between Windows Client OS(XP, Vista, 7) and Windows Server OS, but try it anyway
