Moving to a dedicated server

Could you tell me how many slots per core we could run on this dedicated server please?

Processor: Intel i7
Frequency: 4x 2(HT)x 2.66+ GHz
Ram: 24GB
Bandwidth: 100mbps
Traffic: 3TB

Also would it be worth increasing it to a 1GBPS port?

The price of this is £44.99 a month and the 1GBPS port will be £15 extra per month.

nobody can tell you really... something like 50 slots per core might be possible without HT enabled. with HT the total number of slots usually is a bit higher, but per core you can do less. (remember: srcds cannot use more than 1 core)

"(remember: srcds cannot use more than 1 core)" I believe they added support for this for Orangebox games. Atleast we have seen multiple cores being utilized by single instances of a game server.

Srcds have to threads, but only one does all the major work. (Pretty sure at least)
