differs map than server

ok this is starting to piss me off sorry if i sound mad but i am. i've try'd to find out why this is happening to my server but i can't come up with anything good over the net or fourms so far. i tested my ram it checks out ok i redid my server as in formatted it reinstall an os and srcds and source and meta mods. and i am still gettting this on some maps or a lot of them even stock maps it is happening to us. when we change a map to what ever we all can't get on we all get the same thing it says your map is differs from server i even take that map off my server put a new copy of it on and a new copy on my fast download server and it still will say that? soooo does anyone have a clue what i can do to fix this??? i am looseing players because of this. thanks sign RavensBro leader of (The Raven's Nest)

What map or maps is it saying that on? Stock maps?

I guess you are getting errors on the custom? Just make sure you got the orginal or change the map file.

DOH! I did say it happens on both custom and stock maps not just the custom ones >:0

hmm i think i know what you mean but not sure hehe well i took the map folder out all together then ran the srcds update again it d/l the maps again then i added the custom maps to it so what else do i need to do? thanks

ok it seem to be some what better but it is still doing it lame. I do have some maps on my computer where i keep them so like the other day we got that error so i took the map off my server then off my fast download server uploaded one off of my computer and not form my tf2 map folder either i got them all in a differnt folder where i keep them. anyways i upload a new copy of the map to my fastdownload server then one to my server then restart the server try it again and it still says that lame ass map differs than server map error this is getting old.i have even redownload the map from a tf2 map web site where i got it in the first place to and it will do it????? weird hmm ive been thinking do you think maybe a plugin could have somthing to do with this error? just a thought.

If it's a stock map, you must use HLDSUpdateTool with for the latest map, make sure those maps don't exist in your fastdownload server - they will be downloaded by the Steam client on to the players' computers automatically before launching TF2. If it doesn't work, use the -verify_all parameter with HLDSUpdateTool.

If it's a custom map, you must have the very latest version. Look at the properties of the map on date modified. If you can't tell by that, compare the files by using a checksumming program like WinMD5Sum, this program seems to work well and you can even right-click on a file and click Send To to calculate the hash and compare to another file.

I had this exact problem for awhile and I ended up turning on sv_pure and it seemed to work.

If you still can't get it to work, I hate to say this, but rename the map by appending a number after it.
