Hldsupdatetool stops downloading

What exactly do you mean by that? I didn't really understand what to do

Is the server being installed on the same machine that you are going to play on? If so you can take the game files, as for the actual game and paste them into the srcds directory. Btw does the hldsupdatetool.exe even create the folders?

Yes it does create the folders, And I am going to play on the same computer the server is going to be on. Though what files from CS:S sould i copy to SRCDS? the cstrike folder? or all of the folders there?

Yes, all the folders and the files. Don't "cut" or "clip" them, just copy and paste them.

Straight in SRCDS? or if the orangebox folder thats inside of SRCDS?

OrangeBox folder. Just replace the cstrike folder with the game's cstrike folder.

Ok copying the files didn't help but now also it changed, instead of getting stuck at "base source shared models" it gets stuck a bit after that

one of them was two after "base source shared models", and one was one after "base source shared sounds" but i dont remember what they were.

Never mind, it finally finished downloading after i reset it about 15 times. Thanks alot for your help
