Well, i've just downloaded the srcds and installed it etc...
and when i run it there comes an error about missing tier0_s.dll two times.

and in the srcds application it has another error: Attempted to create uknown entity type info_ladder
can't init info_ladder

i don't have any mods yet, and im using a windows vista home preminum..

and if i try to connect to the server in css, it says coulndt allocate any ip adresses.

Just click OK on the two errors and it should be fine. Else you might want to close Steam(others having the same problem).

Use the +ip parameter and set it to your local ip. If it doesn't work, you may have to make sure there is no other software using port 27015.

What IP did you bind your server too? Connect with that IP and also you don't need to forward your ports if you connect internally.

Try using "connect 127.0.0.1" from the hosting machine if that's possible.
