Changing maps after timelimit
#1
Hey I am a bit of a novice, I have the command mp_timelimit "30" in my Autoexec.cfg and I thought it would change to the next map in the cycle after 30 minutes, but it doesn't. The command mp_maxrounds "20" works, the map changes after 20 rounds have occured, but not the timelimit. Is there something I am missing? I am currently running CS:S on the GUI in the stand alone srcds.exe. Thanks in advance.

Could just be how you typed it, but mp_timelimit 30 (no quotes) works on mine. You added quotes (mp_timelimit "30").
Also, I put the command in my config.cfg and/or valve.rc file.

It should work in autoexec.cfg but the more usual place for mp_timelimit is server.cfg. I believe autoexec.cfg is only run at server launch, whereas server.cfg should be run at every mapchange (I'm assuming this is the case as there is no mapchangecfgfile cvar in srcds). config.cfg is intended for clientside use and shouldn't really be used for server settings.

He is Correct, AUTOEXEC only runs at first launch of server... place those in your SERVER.CFG and you should be fine
