Cant see server only on lan

i know there are at least 20 topics on this but iv tried everything from port forwarding to sv_lan 0 and sv_region 0 i simply cant get people to connect i even exposed my computer with DMZ and still no luch no one can connect to it please some one help me i have alot of understanding in computers so ill know what your talking about also if a port is timedout hoiw do you fix that thanx

alright.. soo you have a lan server, dmz'd it, the server says the ip is like 192... something. thats your lan ip. make sure people are trying to connect to the external ip.. which you find at http://www.whatsmyip.org make sure you have the right ip. and make sure that there is no firewall blocking it. cuz other then that stuff.. it should work if you can connect to it via lan.. note.. you will not be able to connect with the external ip address.

that link won't work for me.. i didn't run the test but yea.. hmmm.. do you have any sort of a firewall on the computer running the server? and you dmz the right lan ip right? and you can connect to it lan right? and the internet on the server works, right? maybe post the ip here.. not the hostname.. the ip. and ill try it to see what i get.

i tried without my router it still dont work
