Basicly I walked away from the server, after about 3 months I came back updated it, me and a friend played on it for about 10 mins, we left the server, then this: Application error: srds.exe
application error the instruction at "0x010719c4" referenced memory at "0x14afffb8". the memory could not be "read".
Terminate program press ok blah blah blah.
Is anybody else having this problem? and how do I fix?

You sure the hardware is ok? Seems pretty old. Run memtest86?

TF 2 needs sse2 support which the pentium 4 does not provide...

Creates server and client configs in an explained dialog.

You`ll also find precompiled debian gameserver kernels for download

Ive had it Running for about 6 hours now, it has not hit the problem again, I'm not sure what it was, but its happened quite a number of times on my friends servers, which have core 2 quads, and core i7's in them. This would be the first time its happened to me, but I thought I should put it out there in case somebody knows the solution.

Well shit... It happened again... Would a Celeron have the same problem? I can get hold of one of those pretty easy.

Celerons are worse than P4s, you're better off upgrading if you don't want trouble anymore.

According to Wikipedia, it states otherwise. According to this, they introduced SSE2. I don't really know what I'm talking about here, but I'm trying to avoid spending too much money on fixing this problem.

EDIT: I also ran TF2 on this machine in previous years, except with another 512 Meg of ram, I don't remember what graphics card was in it, but it died, and so being why the computer was then turned into a server.

I have been looking at this problem, It only appears to happen when there are players on the server, would it be a possibility that I need to reinstall SRDS?

EDIT: It also only happens when somebody dies.

TF2 DOES run on P4's. I've done it Toungue
It's not a very enjoyable experience, even several years ago, but it works.

It's a mod issue.

I previously uninstalled all the mod's that I had, and it didn't really fix it, Ive just re downloaded everything, and Im reconfiguring everything now, hopefully it will bring joy. Im actually surprised at how good my p4 runs this server, even with 512 Meg of ram, I'm gonna be upgrading to 2 gigs soon.
I JUST got it then, it seems to be fine, in 2fort, but the map team_trial_v4 seems to crash it.

EDIT: The server also has no addons now... so it cant be a broken mod

EDIT: Im not really sure what Im doing wrong, is there something special I have to do to get custom maps to work on the server?

maybe the map is just broken? you shouldn't need to do anything more than just installing the map...

Alright peoples, its been a bumpy ride, but I fixed it, you guys probably all know of the bug where custom maps without spectator camera's crash the server? well this is exactly what has happened, except for some reason it has outputted a completely unrelated error, dunno why it did it in 2fort a couple of times though... I am sort of disappointed with valve not creating a fix for this, but I downloaded an addon that adds the random camera's to the map, thanks to the creator of this.
