Hey,
Ik heb de tutorial gevolgd om een server te instaleren maar stoot op enkele problemen :
In deze tutorial ben ik geraakt tot de update (echt C-S S installeren dus)
"./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir ."
dat is de code die ik zou moeten ingeven en dat heb ik dan ook geprobeerd als ik exact deze code ingeef krijg ik een foutmelding,
dus ben ik verder gaan proberen ...
indien ik het puntje vervang door een naam bv : "./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir cstrike" dan geraak ik al iets verder !

dat krijg ik dan, maar zo blijft het dan ook staan ik krijg geen nieuwe command lijn.
Intussen staat het zo al een uur en ik dacht dus maar even verder te zoeken of ik wel juist bezig was of niet of moet ik eerst die map zelf aanmaken of ... ???
Kan iemand me zeggen waar ik misschien ben verkeerd gegaan ?
Het is wel even geleden dat ik nog eens iets in Linux gedaan heb dus als ik stomme dingen doe excuseer ik me er alvast voor !

nu begint het toch te werken .. 5 u en 6 pogingen later komt er schot in de zaak ;-)

Ik denk dat ik de server aan het draaien heb gekregen maar ik vind hem nooit als ik met een andere pc ga zoeken met steam ...
heeft iemand een idee waardoor dit kan komen ?
er zitten een paar foutmeldingen in maar ik denk niets waardoor het zou kunnen komen !

Zijn alle port's open, sv_lan naar 0, region goed gezet ( sv_region 255 ) ?

Welke poorten op de router heb je geforward?
Start de server met de opties -autoupdate -verify_all in de startup line.
