32 Slot server using 350GB bandwidth a month
#1
I have a 32 slot CSS server that uses 350GB of bandwidth a month.
75GB Received
243GB Sent

Is this an extremely large amount? This is just what my GSP has told me and as I have no way to track those stats myself I just need to take his word for it. Anyway he is saying that he is unable to host the server any more because it uses to much bandwidth.

So my question is, is it possible to use up that much bandwidth or is there something wrong with the server? I am not familiar with the stats of other servers and this server isn't full all the time but it does have 25+ people in it for most of the day.

When you factor in 35+ people 24-hours a day, plus downloading content and uploading of maps... I would say it's possible, but I would let one of the guys com in here with the math and prove me right (or wrong).

Honestly, that's below average usage... We have 32 user servers that push near 3mbps constant which uses over 1TB a month in transfer usage.

Your host should account for things like this before he starts hosting large game servers.

I am getting a good deal on my servers, a lot cheaper than what most pay in Australia for the quality... Bandwidth isn't cheap over here Sad Also all custom content like maps etc are hosted on a fastdl server.
