how to make lobby on l4d2 server

ok i am new to having my own server. I have it hosted through ultimategameserver.com but i have a question/problem. How do I make a lobby for it? I want to be able to connect to the server and if I am the only one i want a lobby so i can invite my friends. Right now when i connect to the server it just shoots me straight into the game and i have to tell my friends how to connect to it.

So right now when i load l4d2 i hit the tilda (~) button and type "connect ipaddress:port" and it shoots me directly into the game. LIke it bypasses the lobby or something. I want a lobby so i can invite my friends. Please help.

I have heard about sv_search_key "hostname" but that doesnt work. i commented it out and i had other people connect to my server.

any and all help appreciated im new to this.

what do you mean? That is so confusing?

Okay let's make it easier. Step by step guide.

1. Create a lobby.
2. Open your console and type mm_dedicated_force_servers ip:port
3. Switch to "Best Dedicated Server" instead of "Official Dedicated"
4. Wait for more people to join your lobby.
5. Push "start the game button" and you will connect to your own server.

6. Never EVER admin abuse and dont behave like an ass.
7. Read this

ok so start a regular online game and then open the console and type that in. ok gotcha.. no im not russian.. why you ask? just new to having my own server thats all.
