I get the

Code:
CAsyncIOManager: 0 threads terminating. 0 reads, 0 writes, 0 deferrals.
CAsyncIOManager: 21 single object sleeps, 0 multi object sleeps
CAsyncIOManager: 0 single object alertable sleeps, 0 multi object alertable sleeps

but I can still install a server.

Try running

Code:
./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir .

Obviously you should replace Counter-Strike Source with your game.

You should also go read the readme, and post the necessary information. (because I'm just assuming what your OS is at the moment)

Good luck!

Do you happen to know what that is? I would like to know.

Unfortunately, years later, this problem is plaguing me! I can't find the answers to my problems anywhere online, I'm so frustrated with this at the moment.
