WinSock error while updating
#1
I just got a blank folder tried to put orangebox into it and at 95.34% it says
Connection Reset, WinSock Error 10054 "Connection reset by peer"...
and when I try to redownload it, it says I have everything.

Use -verify_all -retry arguments at the end of your update command Smile

Do I have to restart everything and delete what was previously updated?
I have updated it but it went up to 115% 0,o
I'm getting another problem so I'll probably post another thread....

No need to delete what you have before. The verify_all checks the checksums for each file to make sure you have a correct copy of every file, instead of just checking the files existence.

If it goes up to 115%, don't worry about it Toungue Just a simple updater glitch.

Nothing wrong with your server. That error means that the connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. Like Beaver told you: just add -verify_all to your startup line.

Where do I place -verify_all at?

I had it at the end of the command at first, before I installed it, did nothing.
I did "hldsupdatetool.exe -verify_all" and a help menu popped up.
Where do I put this?

Back in the day I saw it go up to 128567234704678%
Needless to say, it was kinda odd.

Please do not PM me for server related help
