Hi all, hoping this is the right place to ask.
I am looking to lower interest rates and consolidate some loans. I was originally looking into the Co-Op Bank Fair Rate credit card which offers 6 months interest free on balance transfers then 12.95% pa after that (which is a lower rate than I currently have). However I was advised that balance transfers can only be for credit card to credit card and do not cover personal loans.
My question, is if I get a credit card and use a cash advance to pay off my debts, can I then balance transfer this over to the Co Op banks Fair Rate card to get the 6 months interest free and 12.95% pa rate? Is this frowned on? Are there better options? Any help is appreciated.
