ports wrong? I'm not visible online
#1
Hi ,

I've got two computers running one linux css server local ip 192.168.1.7
And I play on the other one ip 192.168.1.6 .
The problem is when friends try to connect by ad server it says server is not responding.
Lan play is no problem.
I tried to change the port of the server to 27060 but that doesn't help. Sad

I've added a picture of my routers config maybe someone can tell me what the problem is.

Maybe it's not a port forwarding problem ,
Sv_lan is set to 0

Thank's allready,

You're missing a few.

Open these ports:

UDP: 1200 (used for friends service)
UDP: 27000 to 27015 inclusive
TCP: 27020 to 27050 inclusive
UDP: 27015 and 27020 (default HLDS, SRCDS and HLTV port)
TCP: 27015 (SRCDS Rcon port)

Thanks for your answer....

I think I opened all the ports you said , but still i'm not visable online.

I updated the opened ports picture.

Maybe my problem has nothing to do with the ports I opened.

Try to enable DMZ to see it's a port problem or not.

Stupid I tried it , and stil wasn't online should have known it's not my ports.

But if it's not my router what else can give me this trouble?
I don't think linux has a firewall I could be wrong do.

I'll give some specs about the server.
Maybe someones knows the answer.

p4 2400 @ 2700 mhz

Addons: ManiAdmin plugin v1.2 betaS-hotfix-2 metamod:source v1.7.1V,Eventscripts 1.2.1.005,sourcemod v1.2.4

I start the server with ./srcds_run -tickrate 100

Be sure you got the right local ip (ifconfig), make it static (http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/linux-newbie/506-setting-static-ip.html). Start the server with the option +ip 192.168.1.7 in the startup line. Try to connect to it: connect <wan-IP>

It's an static ip , I've added the +192.168.1.7 line but still can't see the server online.

friends try to connect to it By servers/favorits/add-server by ip / Wan-ip:27015 should work I think.

I try to connect/find the server with HLSW

update specs I use Ubuntu linux

Also adding sv_lan 0 should take away the problem of becoming public

CountChocula: sv_lan is rarely an issue. sv_lan is set to 0 by default. Also, nearly ever config file anyone will use will set sv_lan to 0. ALSO, even with sv_lan 1, I've had external users connect.

Please do not PM me for server related help

Can I copy pasta this for post count Mooga? >Big Grin

Also his port forwarding appears to be wrong...

External Port: Any -> Internal Port: 27015 -> Local IP: 192.168.1.6
Because clients don't send from 27015.
