HL2 Masters Have Moved (4-14-10)

Zoid Kirsch Wrote:The new HL2Masters are now online. Dedicated server operators will want to restart their servers to pick up the new Master IP addresses. If you have any manual setmaster configuration commands, please remove them as those older addresses are no longer valid.

We will be monitoring the transition closely today. If you encounter any issues or have questions, please feel free to email me or post here.

heya,

first thing: thanks for updating the masterservers good thing.

the only mistake that happened here again was that only server admins were informed about the change and the player base didnt know why their server browser didnt show anything for some time. this only falls back to valve with people thinking its simply not working without any reasons.

what i wanna say is inform the community about such things (via blog / forums) and exactly the opposite will happen (people beeing thankfull for the change instead of complaining

greetings
