I have purchased an 8 core xeon server box from Ubiquity with Centos 5. These are the specs:
1x Xeon Nehalem 5520
8x 2.26ghz processors
* 500 GB SATAII 7200rpm Drive
* 6,144 MB DDR3 ECC-Registered Memory
* 100 Mbit Burstable Uplink
* 6000GB Metered Data Transfer
* 5 Free Usable IPs
* Premium, redundant sFlow-optimized network (AS15003)
Game(s): CS HL1, TF2
Start Up Command: ./srcds_run -game tf +maxplayers 32 +ip **
Server OS: Centos 5 32bit.
I did a fresh install using hldsupdatetool.bin for both CS HL2 and TF2. After that, I have started the server with similar command line as for TF2. Have checked if the map was on, if the network was fine, but the server didn't respond. So I decided to try if TF2 will work, in case that was a file damage or something. Started the TF2 after the fresh install too, and same results, when I try to connect to the server, it does not respond.
I contacted their support, they have stated that the network is fine. I also tried to ping to all of the 5 IPs that I have binded, and everything was fine.
Did you guys ever have a similar problem?
