I followed the tutorial here on srcds.com on how to set a servers ip. Whenever I start up my server it says "Couldn't allocate dedicated server UDP port." What does it mean... And how can i fix it?
I am running WINXP Home, and my server is running CS:S. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Fasga

ok your issue is simple...
the +ip command needs to be moved from your server start up to your server.cfg file ONLY.
ip IP HERE!
that will fix the UDP error.

this is one think i have always wondered... what exactly is the importance of that? putting the ip in the config file, i ran my server forever without that, and then seen one day to put it in, so for the heck of it i did.. and seen no difference... sooo yea, i don't know.. just wondering though.
