console has not apeared

Hi everyone,

I installed some server brand new after isntalling windows server 2008 on my servers now when i start using the normal dos command the console does not apear and server does not start even when i create a .bat shortcut and run as admin. any advice?
Its really bugging, and now i have tried it on our old server 2003 servers and its the same after upating.
i have deleted everything and re-downloaded it but still the same.

Please Help as this is driving me mad.

It's ok I figured it out It required I put -game cstrike then -console for some reason
