Server keeps crashing

Hi guys

I have a dedicated srcds server which was working fine up until recently.

All of a sudden my server has began to crash after about 30 seconds of starting up, people can still connect when the server just starts up but after seconds the server crashes and needs to be reset.

I thought the problem was the server.cfg so i made a new one but ive still got the problems.

I also thought that addons might be the reason so i have deleted these but still the same thing happens.

Im now pretty much all out of ideas.

Any help or advice you can give would be great!

Thanks for the help but ive never had to do that before so im not sure how i should go about it. Can u give me some more information about where to use verify_all please.

Its quite difficult to give you much guidance without knowing, what game, your command line launch options, how you got the server files to your dedi in the first place, IE via steam or hldsupdate tool, your operating system etc etc etc.

KK sorry. The game is css. My launch options are "C:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust2 -maxplayers 16 -autoupdate" and i used hldsupdate tool. My operating system is Windows XP and i know that my computer is a high enough spec to run the server well because it has been doing up to this recent problem.

Is that enough information? if you need to know anything more specifically just ask

Arrr right ill check out the FAQ then thanks man.

I was running plugins and add-ons but i deleted them as i thought they might be causing the problem, but no luck there sadly

Ill try running verify_all and ill see how it goes

Make sure you've removed all plugins. Also what's the crash error?

There is no crash error. The server basically stops responding and kicks every one off. It then stops allowing new connections to it.

Just leave it running. It might take a while!

Or make sure your internet connection doesn't lose itself. Happens to me sometimes. So I have to use my ISP's login to access the internet agian.

How long do you think it will take?

Ive left it running for about 20 mins before eventually giving up. Should i try longer?
