1000 Hz kernel
#1
Compiled a 1000 Hz kernel but the fps stays 250. It makes no difference to start the system with the compiled or the non compiled one.

Operating System
Debian Lenny 503:
- Kernel 1: 2.6.26-2-amd64
- Kernel 2: 2.6.31 (compiled)
OS Windows XP SP2 (with fps-booster)

Connection
50 Mb down
6 Mb up

System:
AMD Athlon 64x2 3800+
2 Gb Mem

Startup and vars
fps_max 0
sv_maxrate 25000
sv_minrate 15000
sv_mincmdrate 66
sv_maxcmdrate 101
sv_maxupdaterate 101
sv_minupdaterate 66
sv_unlag 1

Is there a way to increase my server's FPS?

untrue, as a matter of fact this has been tested mostly with css, not 1.6

have you tried everything in the playing around and trouble shooting sections?

PS: disabling dyn ticks and running at HZ=1000 is the safer setting. this will not lead to low fps, only to more variance...

Compiled the kernel again and made a clean source install. I don't know what went wrong at first but 1000 FPS kernel is working. Thanks for the replies all.
